Why is Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Important?

Courageous Conversations: Increasing your self-awareness, knowledge, and curiosity will help you to understand why the world is so focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. What you can expect is a focused lens on how the biases, particularly of managers and leaders, have an impact on an organization’s culture and the progress (or lack thereof) towards a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Implicit and Unconscious Bias in the Workplace

Bias: The tendency to process information based on unconscious/conscious associations and feelings. We all have them. What you can expect is a focused lens on how the biases, particularly of managers and leaders, have an impact on an organization’s culture and the progress (or lack thereof) towards a diverse and inclusive workplace. "Your intentions speak louder than your words"

Microaggressions in the Workplace

Microaggression: Is a term used for brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative prejudicial slights and insults toward any group. "Sometimes we say and things that impact others in a negative way. This session will increase your self-awareness."

Allyship Training

Allyship Training: Is the practice of being an ally to a person or others in a marginalized or mistreated community to which one does not belong. What you can expect is a focused lens on how Allyship in the workplace positively impacts the organization’s culture and the progress towards a diverse and inclusive workplace through supporting social justice, inclusion, and human rights. "Be a mentor and have a mentor at all times." Learn how to advocate for others.

Equity Motivation Training

Equity is the glue to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. By definition, equity means embracing the equal opportunity for growth and advancement of people of color—individually and organizationally. In order for the implementation of DEI initiatives to be effective, it is of critical importance to focus on strategies to build equity into your business or organizational culture. Our Equity trainer Darrell “Coach D” Andrews, a 20-year professional development expert in this arena, will take your team on an “Equity Journey” that encompasses:

Corporate Trauma

The Corporate Trauma experience, by design, gives permission to the professional to explore and express the aspects of their journey through the “Corporate Industrial Complex” that would normally go unspoken due to them being misnomered as “baggage”. This training is also all about exercising the perspective of those individuals who are entrusted with the front-line goals of their firms but struggle to find the humanity in going to work. Each participant will get a closer look at how and why Corporate Trauma exists while also being provided the solutions which are based on real time, real life experiences of the everyday corporate professionals. It is a must for any progressive organization to have the Corporate Trauma conversation in order to prevent it from creeping in as a pervasive culture as well as identifying leaders and the specific leadership profile that is the Corporate Trauma antidote. Our Corporate Trauma trainer, Jamoul Celey, is the originator of this content and he will drive this experience to promote empowerment by:

DEIB Testimonials

Like many others, our organization was struggling with how to have real conversations with our team about the social injustice issues facing our nation. My sense was that a traditional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program, while effective in some use cases, was not going to get our folks talking — we've all sat through the lecture-based curriculum, and it never seems to drive real discussion. We needed to get to "real talk" and enable our team to feel comfortable talking about hard topics. Pierre's courageous conversations approach fostered openness, vulnerability, and in the end understanding. His program will serve as a catalyst for our team to continue improving long into the future. As Pierre notes: our response is our responsibility. "
